My clappersticks have vanished how do I get them back?

The most likely reason is that the clappersticks are slid to the left or right and you're looking at the Note + Chart buttons or are seeing the DATA1 or TITLE fields displayed. Just slide that row left or right until you see the clappersticks again.

Another possibility is that you've set MovieSlate to be in Data-Only mode, in which case you'll see a Log Shot, Note, and Circle Take buttons along with Picture and Sound ratings in place of the clappersticks. To leave this mode tap on the Timecode display and tap Yes. You can also control Data-only mode from Settings > Shot Log History > Data-Only Mode.
